Parenting Programmes - STILL RUNNING WITH LIMITED SERVICES
Nurture Programme - Delivered by Wendy and Shona
During the current pandemic and the difficulties of lockdown we are aware that parenting is unusually hard at present. At Wellspring Settlement, we offer families a variety of parenting course one of these is the Nurture programme. The Nurture programme is a parenting programme based on four constructs; self-awareness, appropriate behaviour, empathy and positive discipline and is usually ran over ten weeks. During the current pandemic Family Links have created ways to support parents with the new challenges that we face during our current circumstances, as we are aware parenting during ‘normal’ circumstances comes with it challenges however we understand that’s due to the current pandemic our jobs as parents have changed and along with this we are faced with new challenges and new difficulties. Family Links have added a section to their website on ideas how we can support our children during the current pandemic as well as ways we can look after our own mental well-being. You can find out more information here:
Family Links have a YouTube channel with some videos you may find useful, some of the videos are around how we look after our own and our child/children’s emotional wellbeing as well as how we may support our children to manage their difficult behaviour. For videos please follow link:
The Nurture programme are currently running free online course via the Netmums website:
