How to get to the Settlement 

By car

From the M4:

At exit 19 on the M4, take the M32 for Bristol.  Before reaching central Bristol, leave the M32 at junction 3 for "All other routes".  Take the first exit from the roundabout, and follow the dual carriageway for 0.5 mile.  At the Lawrence Hill roundabout, take the first exit (A420 towards Kingswood and Chippenham).  At the first set of traffic lights, turn right into Ducie Road.  After 200 yards, the Settlement is on the left.

Bus number 36 (and 36a) stops immediately outside the Settlement, and usually runs every 12 minutes.  You can catch the bus in the city centre - Baldwin Street, Wine Street, at the back of the Galleries (opposite Castle Park) - or in Old Market.

Buses 6 and 7 share the same city centre stops as 36/36a, but the nearest stop to the Settlement is Lawrence Hill Bridge, 5 minutes' walk away from the Settlement.

Buses 41/43/44/45 will also drop you off at Lawrence Hill Bridge. 43/44/45 can be caught from the Centre, (Penn Street, and Debenhams), and Old Market. In addition the 41 runs right through from Avonmouth and can be caught from College Green in addition to the above stops.

The nearest station is Lawrence Hill, 5 minutes' walk away. The station is on the Severn Beach line, serving Temple Meads (Bristol's central main line station), .

Trains leave Temple Meads station at 8:05, 9:10, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:32, 17:54, 19:13, 20:18 and 21:35 (Monday - Friday), arriving at Lawrence Hill 3 minutes later.

Trains leave Lawrence Hill at 9:02, 10:21, 11:21, 12:21, 13:21, 14:21, 15:29, 16:22, 17:31, 19:01, 20:20, 21:25 and 22:40 (Monday - Friday), arriving at Temple Meads 6 minutes later.

There is a reduced service on Saturdays, and no service on Sundays. 

When you leave the station, you are on Lawrence Hill.  Cross at the pedestrian crossing, turn left, then first right into Morton Street.  At the end of Morton Street, turn left into Ducie Road. The Settlement is now on your left.
