The lunches are run by volunteers and offer freshly cooked meals.

Everyone is welcome, and there's no need to book - just turn up!

Muslim Women's Lunch Club

The Muslim Women’s lunch has been running successfully for several years now, providing a space for women to come together, eat and socialise. (Prayer mats are available for those who wish to use them.) Children are welcome too, and have a fantastic time in the crèche provided after eating with their mums - spaces in the crèche are limited and are provided on a first come, first served basis. (Crèche is available from 1 – 2:30pm).

The lunch club is run by local women, who take in turns to volunteer to cook and clean, allowing everyone to contribute if they choose. It’s a great friendly atmosphere, all women are welcome to come and join in. Different meals are cooked each fortnight and we always welcome new ideas.

The lunch is supported by the UBAX group, who have also helped to organise outings for the families, Eid parties etc., and have taken on a great campaigning role within the local community, making sure that Muslim women’s voices are heard and their needs met. The lunch club also helps to provide the space for women to share concerns, take part in activities/discussions and become more involved in their local community.

Muslim Elders' Lunch Club

We also have a "Muslim Elders' Lunch" on the first Wednesday of every month which caters for older muslim women, featuring menus with less spice and less salt. No children - just over 50s and their carers.
