International Women's Day, 2007.

Another wonderful event organised by local women for local women. The event was supported by the Community Work Team and was held at the Barton Hill Settlement.

Sarah Keel, Chief Executive of Community at Heart opened the event with a reflective look back at women who have a made a difference connected with Bristol.

There were many activities and workshops for the women to enjoy, and once again the event was very well attended by women of all ages and from many different cultures.

There was a hot lunch, and this year there was a ‘market place’ full of information from local projects and agencies where women could access information and details of what is going on in the area.

The event was rounded off with a traditional European circle dance, which was great fun and a fitting end to an inspirational day.
