Barton Hill raises funds for victims of the Asian Tsunami.

The Community Work Team at the Barton Hill Settlement responded to residents' suggestions that a fundraising effort should take place for the victims of the Asian Tsunami. An overwhelming amount of raffle prizes were donated and a series of 4 weekly raffles took place, followed by an event on the evening of Friday 25th February.

The event was a huge success with local DJ Chubby Brown banging out the tunes whilst party goers strutted their stuff on the dance floor.

An auction on the night also helped towards the total of £640.00 being raised for the DEC Tsunami Earthquake Appeal. The Community Work Team would like to thank everyone that donated and helped with the fundraising effort. Well done to the area for the response.
