The People's Hive

What is the People’s Hive?

It’s the community involvement department at the Settlement which offers local people three ways to participate in their community and bring about change, through:

There are so many groups and activities to get involved through the People’s Hive; these are just some of them: Older People’s Forum, Volunteers’ Forum, lunch clubs, the Settlement Library, lots of volunteering opportunities, International Women’s Day, National Volunteers’ Week, summer trips, tenants’ groups, PC Mechanics Group, multicultural feasts, the History Group, shopping buses, Knit and Natter, the Community Crunch – the list goes on!

The People’s Hive works with local individuals and groups to support them in making changes in the local area. We also work in partnership with the Black Development Agency, Bristol City Council and Community at Heart.
