Enrolling on courses at Barton Hill Workshop  Art class at the Settlement


How to enrol

If you are interested in any of our courses at the Workshop, then:

  1. Telephone or call in to talk about the course you are interested in so we can check you have all the information you need.

  2. Complete an enrolment form (available from the Workshop).

  3. Hand, or send, your form to us together with a deposit or the full amount. Please make cheques payable to Barton Hill Settlement.

  4. If you need a crèche place for your child, please note this in the box on your enrolment form and we will book a place if one is available.

Reduced fees are available for accredited courses to people in receipt of the following:

  • Council Tax Benefit

  • Housing Benefit

  • Income Support

  • Jobseekers Allowance (income based)

  • Assistance as an asylum seeker

  • Working Tax Credit (WTC) - only those learners in receipt of WTC or their partner, with a household income of less than £14,200 will be eligible for fee remission. You will be asked to produce the award notice.

  • Or unwaged partner or dependent aged 16-18 of someone claiming any of the above.

  • To claim entitlement to a free, accredited course, you will need to produce evidence that you receive benefit on the day you enrol. If enrolling by post, then please include a photocopy of your evidence.

    All learners pay the certification cost in full - including people in receipt of benefit. These costs are given under each course.

    For courses hosted at the Workshop but run by other organisations, different fee levels may apply.
